Description : GEOFER-XT PLUS TAB. provides elemental iron which helps in restoring iron deficiency which leads to the faster repairing of tissue and anemia. The active ingredient of the drug is folic acid which is the most important determinant in the production of red blood cell and maturation. Folic acid is biochemically inactive which is converted into methyltetrahydrofolate and Tetrahydrofolic acid by dihydrofolate reductase. The cell receptors help mediate endocytosis which is required to use and generate format. Vitamin B12 can be used as cofactor where folic acid helps normalize the high homocysteine levels.Composition : Ferrous Ascorbate (Elemental iron)-100mg+folic acid-1.1mg+zinc-22.5 mg+mecobalamin-1.5mg.
